Astro Pi - Mission Zero: young Luxembourgers code for the ISS

We took part in the Science Festival organized from November 22 to 26, 2025 in the heart of Luxembourg-Grund, at the Naturmusée andNeumünster Abbey sites. Set up at stands 17 and 53, in collaboration with theInternational School II in Mamer, our team welcomed a large number of curious visitors with a passion for science.

Dive into the fascinating world of spectroscopy

This year’s theme invited young and old alike to discover the surprising world of spectroscopy and rockets.
Through accessible explanations and hands-on experiments, visitors were able to understand :

  • how light reveals the composition of materials,

  • why each chemical element has its own light “signature”,

  • and how spectroscopy is a key technology for scientific research, particularly in astronomy and space exploration.

Interactive activities for all audiences

A varied, participatory program awaited visitors:

  • Interactive demonstrations (rocket launches, materials observation)

  • Live experiences

  • Discussions with the team and answers to questions from the public

  • Scientific discoveries that change the way we see… light!

Whether you’re curious, a science enthusiast, a budding young scientist or just a visitor, there was something for everyone to marvel at and learn from.

Science continues with schools

Following on from the weekend for the general public, the program continued with schools, hosted on Monday and Tuesday.
These school days enable pupils to extend the Science Festival experience through adapted activities, encouraging scientific understanding, manipulation and curiosity.

Thank you for your enthusiasm!

Many thanks to all those who came to meet us, and to our partners, notably theInternational School II in Mamer, the Naturmusée and Neimënster, for this edition rich in exchanges and discoveries.
