Code your message and send it into space!
Astro Pi Mission Zero introduces young people to programming by offering them a unique opportunity to send a message into space! Students will learn to code by creating a personalized image to be displayed on a computer aboard the International Space Station (ISS), inspired by nature on Earth or elsewhere in the universe.
Mission Zero (up to 19 years, recommended age: up to 12 years)
Write a short program to display a personalized message to astronauts, and observe living conditions on the ISS. It’s quick, easy and requires no additional equipment!
Mission Zero is accessible to all, even beginners, and requires no special equipment or prior skills. All entries will be performed in the ISS for 30 seconds, and each participant will receive a certificate showing the precise details of the performance.
A unique souvenir of their contribution to space exploration!
Why take part?
Since 2020, in cycles 1 to 4 of elementary school, coding skills have been developed in conjunction with mathematical skills.
They are part of the skills tested in the common tests organized as part of the secondary education orientation procedure.
Astro Pi is a unique opportunity to learn programming in the classroom… while touching the stars!
Register your class and take part in the space adventure! Registration opens in October 2025.
