On the day’s programme

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Teachers’ testimonials
To begin with, several primary and secondary school teachers will share their experiences in very concrete terms:

  • how they have integrated ESERO activities into their lessons,
  • how this has changed students’ motivation,
  • the obstacles they faced… and how they overcame them,
  • the projects that have worked best in their context.
An ideal opportunity to ask questions, draw inspiration from Luxembourg colleagues and leave with ready-to-use ideas.

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm | ESERO “hands-on” workshops
Get hands-on! Participants will be able to try out for themselves a selection of popular ESERO educational kits and resources (space missions, STEM activities, classroom challenges…). The ESERO Luxembourg team will be on hand to demonstrate how to adapt these resources to different class levels and to the realities of the Luxembourg program. . You’ll be able to take away free educational kits (Space Material Kit, AstroPi kit, ESA School Atlas, among others). First come, first served!

5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Two parallel talks

    1. Joseph Rodesch (alias “Mr Science”) – for secondary school teachers
He will share activities and approaches he uses to spark scientific curiosity in young people in Luxembourg, particularly those featured in the TakeOff programme. How can you capture their attention? How can you connect science with everyday life? How can you maintain the “wow” factor without losing the educational aspect?
    2. Thierry Frentz (DĂ©tachĂ©ierten Enseignant am SciTeach Center-Uni.lu) – fir primĂ€rschoulsprof
E Fokus op d’Grondlagen: “WĂ©i kann een de Science Unterrecht am Klassesall mĂ©i interaktiv gestalten an d’Kanner mĂ©i engagĂ©ieren?”
Konkret an einfach VirschlĂ©i fir praktesch AktivitĂ©iten Ă«mzesetzen, d’SchĂŒler-innen fuerschend anzebannen, an esou d’WĂ«ssenschaften, och mat limitĂ©iertem Material, bewosst interdisziplinĂ€r ze vermĂ«ttelen.
