📸 The winners of the 2ᵉ Prix Climate Detectives are rewarded with a unique photo workshop!
On Sunday June 26, 2025, students from Vauban school, winners of the 2ᵉ Climate Detectives project prize, had the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience: a photo course dedicated to observing nature and raising environmental awareness through images.
Over the course of the day, students were introduced to the basics of photography, learning how to capture light, contrast and details that often escape the naked eye. Accompanied by a professional photographer and supervised by their teacher and the ESERO team, they explored their environment in search of inspiring shots highlighting the effects of climate change or the beauties of local biodiversity.
Students also learned about the European Space Agency’s Copernicus program: an Earth observation system that uses satellites to monitor the environment and climate. It provides valuable data on oceans, forests, air pollution and natural disasters such as fires and floods. This information helps scientists, governments and citizens to better protect our planet.
The internship was awarded in recognition of the outstanding work carried out by the class as part of the Climate Detectives project, in which they investigated a local climate phenomenon, collected data and proposed concrete solutions. The jury praised their commitment, scientific curiosity and creativity.
This special moment combined science and creativity, while raising students’ awareness of environmental protection. A great way to round off the project and, who knows, spark future passions for photography, science or the planet!
👏 Well done again to the Vauban school for their commitment and energy!
